Relief (linocut) print hand made using Caligo black relief printing ink on Ho-Sho Japanese paper.
The image is inspired by a daytime moon observation right above the summit of Clachnaben. Very little imagination is required for this well known hill in Aberdeenshire to appear rather extraterrestrial.
This work also forms part of a series of prints influenced by the travel writing and illustrations from the celebrated american artist Rockwell Kent; and reflections on insignificance of a human being in the face of the power and age of Nature. Please see separate listings for companion pieces.
The print is signed and numbered limited edition of 20.
